Description

Welcome to your charming 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath getaway nestled in the picturesque Lodge Hill neighborhood of Cambria, CA on the stunning Central Coast. This spacious, three-story home is the perfect family-friendly retreat or a cozy haven for couples seeking a peaceful California escape. Enjoy the quintessential Cambria experience: towering Monterey Pines, cool ocean air, and easy access to nature. The top floor contains the primary bedroom, a large bathroom and a large balcony. The main (ground) level contains the kitchen, dining room, living room, half bathroom and a large deck. The lower level contains three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The top floor bedroom suite features a lovely black marble gas fireplace, a king size bed, a sitting area for two, a work station and gorgeous views through the sliding doors to the large private deck. You can sunbathe in private, or have your morning coffee while catching a glimpse of the ocean through the fringe of pine trees surrounding the property. The adjoining primary bathroom features a glass block surround to a very large shower with two shower heads. There are two vanities with lots of mirrors that are arranged artfully so that you can see about nine reflections of the mirrors. A large walk-in closet off the bathroom provides tons of shelf and hanging space for all your belongings. The main floor is furnished with plenty of comfortable furniture for all the guests to hang out in the living room, dining room, or spacious deck. There are windows and skylights galore and the vaulted ceilings give the whole floor an airy, sophisticated feel. There is a bit of architectural whimsy to the house with open staircases surrounded by glass and iron. The kitchen has been remodeled with mostly new appliances but retains its mid-century modern feel. There is a cozy island in the center of the kitchen with bar stools for two and a bar on the perimeter of the kitchen with bar stools for three. A whole house soft water system has been added in addition to a reverse osmosis filter system for drinking water. The deck off the main floor is very large and has comfortable deck furniture. While there is another house next door, you mostly look out on an expanse of trees and greenery which feels very private. The lower floor has three nicely appointed bedrooms. One of the bedrooms can be set up with either two twin XL beds or the beds pushed together and connected with a comfortable bridge to make up a King bed. The bedroom with the Queen bed has a long and wide window seat which is big enough that a child could comfortably sleep on it. The third bedroom downstairs is a smaller room with a twin bed. It doesn't have a closet, however there is a dresser for storing clothes. The three bedrooms share a full bath with a tub/shower. The front exterior of the house has two one-car garages, one of which is for the use of guests. There is off-street parking for up to 3 cars in front of the house. Guests can park in any of the 3 spaces near the garage on the right side of the house, but not in front of the garage on the left side of the house. There is also an outdoor shower for those times when you would like to wash off the sand from the beach. The back exterior of the house faces the ocean and is where all the windows and decks are. In the back of the house on the ground level, there is a fenced in garden. It's not unusual to see deer or wild turkeys on the other side of the fence walking through the unfenced part of the property - one of the charms of Cambria! Guests will have access to the entire 1,870 sqft house. There is a basement studio unit that will occasionally be occupied by the property owner. Each unit has a separate access and there are no shared spaces. I'll be available by phone throughout the duration of your stay. We also have our cleaners and handyman on call in case any issues arise.
